Is my data really private?+
Yes. Your notes and tasks are saved in your browser's local storage on your own device. There's no YouJotted server that receives them, no account, and no telemetry. The extension also can't read the web pages you visit — it only has access to its own scratchpad.
What happens to my notes if I uninstall?+
Because everything is stored locally, removing the extension clears its local storage. Export anything you want to keep (Word, PDF, or Markdown) before uninstalling. Reinstalling starts fresh.
Does it sync across my devices?+
No — and that's by design. Local-first means nothing is uploaded to a cloud to sync. If you need your notes elsewhere, use a one-click export. We keep things private and offline rather than syncing through a server.
How many devices does one license cover?+
A Pro license activates on up to 3 devices; Teams covers 5. If you lose or change a device, deactivate the old one from the extension's settings (or just activate on the new one until you hit the limit) — your key lives permanently in your Lemon Squeezy receipt and customer portal, so you can always re-activate. Need more seats? The Teams plan or a quick note to us has you covered.
I lost my device — how do I get Pro back?+
Your license key is permanent and lives in your Lemon Squeezy purchase receipt (and the customer portal under My Orders). On the new device, open Settings → Activate and paste it in. If you've already used all your activations, deactivate an old device from its extension settings, or email us and we'll reset a seat for you.
What's your refund policy?+
Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. If YouJotted isn't for you, request a refund within 30 days of purchase and we'll take care of it. Lemon Squeezy also handles VAT/GST automatically wherever you are.
Do I have to pay to use it?+
No. The free version is genuinely useful on its own — up to 5 sticky notes and 5 reminders, timestamped and fully offline. Pro removes the limits (unlimited notes and reminders, no character cap) and unlocks exports, for people who live in it all day.
